Private equity firm GrowthCurve Capital is acquiring a controlling stake in Israeli digital health company TailorMed. The deal is valued at approximately $250 million, Calcalist reported. Most existing shareholders are expected to sell their holdings.
Funding and team
TailorMed has raised about $60 million to date. It employs around 120 people, including roughly 50 in Israel. Employees are expected to remain in their roles after the transaction closes.
Network reach
TailorMed connects with more than 950 hospitals, 4,700 clinics, and 3,100 pharmacies across the United States. The network includes over 100 pharmaceutical company programs and more than 6,000 support programs. Since 2020, the company says it has helped patients secure more than $7.4 billion in financial assistance.
How the platform works
TailorMed started by helping patients find financial aid for medications. It later expanded to remove other barriers along the treatment journey. The platform gives care teams access to assistance programs that might otherwise go unnoticed.
GrowthCurve plans to support development of additional services and AI capabilities. TailorMed may add new companies through acquisitions. It aims to build a broader system connecting patients, hospitals, pharmacies, and pharmaceutical companies.
