Whisper World and Rembrand have merged to form WRLabs, a new company focused on AI-powered video editing for advertising, media, and entertainment. The combined company reaches around two billion viewers each month and works with around 3,000 advertisers. It has also completed more than 100,000 in-content insertions.
Combined product lines
WRLabs operates across three main product lines. These include Whisper World's in-content advertising, Spaceback's social content ads, and MRFactory's hybrid virtual studios. Rembrand's AI platform sits at the core of the company.
Leadership and scale
The company has around 450 employees across eight countries and four business units. Manav Kapoor, CEO of Whisper World, will become Group CEO and Co-Chair after the transaction closes. Omar Tawakol, CEO of Rembrand, will become Co-Chair.
Augmentation-first approach
WRLabs says its platform augments existing video rather than generating entirely new content. It inserts approved brand assets into professionally produced footage with photorealistic accuracy. Production teams retain control over every frame.
WRLabs has already deployed Rembrand's technology across Whisper World's advertising operations. The company plans to make its AI editing platform available through an API and a forthcoming VFXAgent. VFXAgent will let editors use natural-language instructions for visual effects work.
