Kodiact raised $2.5 million in Pre-Seed funding. Supply Change Capital led the round, with Green Circle Foodtech Ventures and Velocity Catalyst participating. The company builds simulation software for direct materials sourcing in food, beverage, and consumer goods manufacturing.
Raw material pressure
Cocoa prices rose nearly fivefold between early 2023 and late 2024. Tariffs, climate-driven crop failures, and repeated supply shocks have made direct materials harder to predict. Chief procurement officers now put about 20% of budgets toward procurement technology, nearly double the 2023 share, according to Deloitte.
Company background
Kodiact launched in May 2026. It already covers more than 500 raw materials across 23 categories. CEO Steve Tucker and COO Dan Daehler have worked together for 25 years.
How the platform works
Kodiact sits on top of existing ERP systems such as SAP and Microsoft Dynamics. It connects every material a manufacturer buys to the market forces that move its price. Teams can see exposure, test decisions, and record outcomes in a single ledger.
The fresh funding will support product, customer, and go-to-market priorities. Kodiact plans to expand its market data, simulation, and AI agent capabilities. It will also pursue partnerships in cosmetics, packaging, and chemicals.
