Acecore, a Nigerian startup that builds home energy storage systems, won the TC Battlefield 2026 competition at Moonshot by TechCabal in Lagos. The company received the $10,000 grand prize on Thursday, October 29. Supplya placed second with $5,000, and Navidyn placed third with $2,500.
Contest finalists
The winners were chosen from 10 finalists. The other finalists included Growwr, Kuraway, Fertitude, Lena, QiqiFarms, Riwe, and Swiftway Shippers. Judges represented HoaQ, SWIT, Antler, and Yango Group.
Local hardware focus
Acecore builds its battery casing and battery management software in Nigeria. It sells a home battery system and a smart socket that lets users control appliances. Its system costs more than 20% less than comparable products.
Pricing and payment
Imported Chinese systems land in Nigeria at a price similar to Acecore's, which starts at about $5,250. Founder Caleb Iwuoha told judges the company runs a 62% margin. A partner bank lets customers pay in installments.
Navidyn, Supplya, and Fertitude won places in Antler's residency program. They can raise up to $250,000 in Pre-Seed investment. Navidyn also says a Sahara Group representative brought it an inspection job before its product was ready.
