Traversal raised $120 million in new funding at a $1 billion valuation. Kleiner Perkins, Redpoint Ventures, and Khosla Ventures co-led the round. The company builds AI tools for site reliability engineering.
Funding history
The new round brings Traversal's total funding to $173 million. Kleiner Perkins led the Series A and increased its investment. Sequoia Capital used its growth fund to expand its stake.
Company and customers
Traversal emerged from stealth in June 2025 with $48 million. Its founders include causal machine learning researchers from MIT, UC Berkeley, Cornell, and Columbia. Customers include Nubank, Harvey, PepsiCo, and DigitalOcean.
How the product works
Traversal's AI SRE helps engineering teams diagnose, remediate, and prevent production incidents. It uses a Production World Model and Causal Search Engine to understand systems and root causes. Customers ran more than 150,000 investigations last quarter.
Traversal plans to use the funding to make production systems more resilient. It will extend its AI across the software development lifecycle. The company is hiring in research, engineering, and go-to-market roles.
