Yvonne Bajela closed an oversubscribed $17 million first fund called Evertrue. The new fund will make early-stage investments across the UK and Europe. It will focus on AI and fintech companies.
Backers and check size
The fund plans to write checks of around £350,000. It has already backed seven companies, including Revion, Poindexter Labs, and fintech Zuba. Investors include the British Business Bank, Basecamp, Better Society Capital, Bootstrap 4F, and Allocator One.
Bajela's track record
Bajela previously held roles at Phoenix Court, LocalGlobe, and Impact X Capital. Her earlier investments include Wise and Marshmallow. She also worked at Goldman Sachs and Mitsui.
Investment approach
The fund targets Pre-Seed AI and technology companies. It will lead and co-invest before wider market agreement forms. Bajela looks for founders with deep problem expertise and unusual execution ability.
Evertrue plans to back at least 20 companies over the next three years. It chose not to expand the fund despite additional investor interest. Around 80% of its limited partners are based in the UK.
