Solgram raised over US$1 million in a Pre-Seed funding round led by DSG Consumer Partners and Saama Capital. Hospitality entrepreneur Kapil Chopra also joined the financing round. The Gurugram-based company runs a premium online grocery service focused on temperature-sensitive foods.

Investment details

The startup completed the funding round within a quarter of its launch. Founder Shashank Shekhar Sharma previously bootstrapped the venture with about ₹3 crore from personal savings. The team will use the new capital to improve technology and build out cold-chain infrastructure.

Operational footprint

Solgram relies on compact dark stores that range between 1,200 and 1,500 square feet. The company maintains dedicated temperature zones across its facilities to protect perishables. It also uses insulated thermal packaging and dedicated last-mile logistics for deliveries.

Products and services

The catalog includes fresh produce, meats, dairy, bakery items, and private-label dry goods. Customers can pick between scheduled delivery and an express option that arrives in 25 to 30 minutes. Shoppers can also activate Mindful Mode to view clear nutritional information and ingredient provenance.

The startup currently operates in Gurugram and intends to expand across the National Capital Region. Solgram aims to open between 35 and 40 dark stores across six metro markets within 24 months. It also targets reaching store-level profitability within 8 to 10 months.
