Vereda raised R$30 million in a Seed round. The round was co-led by Canary and Valor Capital Group. Vereda operates a direct agricultural distribution platform for Brazilian farmers.

Investor participation

Vereda became the first agribusiness investment by a16z Speedrun. Its founders were the first Brazilians selected for the program. They have personal ties to Brazil's agricultural sector.

Founders and market

João Pedro Aguiar and Pedro Galindo founded Vereda. The company operates in Brazil. The country is described as the world's agricultural superpower.

How the platform works

Vereda uses an asset-light model to connect input manufacturers, financiers, and trading companies directly to farms. Its AI-native system works through WhatsApp and turns requests into recommendations and proposals. Vereda says direct purchases can cost over 30% less than buying through a reseller.

The new funding will help Vereda consolidate its operation in Goiás. It plans to expand its network of manufacturers and farmers. From 2027, the company expects to scale its financing model and enter new agricultural regions in Brazil.
