Sunrate launched its Agentic Card on November 2, 2026 during Hong Kong FinTech Week. The company says it supports businesses in more than 190 countries and regions. Its new programmable, multi-currency virtual commercial card lets approved AI agents execute business payments.

What the card offers

Businesses can set controls by merchant category, amount, currency, geography, and validity period. Authorized AI agents can create cards, configure payment parameters, initiate transactions, and retrieve outcomes. The card supports procurement, business travel, marketing spending, and supplier payments.

Sunrate's AI push

The card has completed Mastercard Agent Pay certification, supporting verifiable identity for agent-initiated transactions. It builds on Sunrate.AI, which includes payment, FX, compliance, onboarding, and chat agents. Sunrate also worked with Mastercard on a white paper about agentic global payments.

Early travel use case

Online travel businesses are an early target. They can issue a virtual card for a single marketing campaign or supplier payment. AI can monitor spending, block exceptions, approve compliant payments, or escalate higher-risk items.

Sunrate plans to extend agentic payment capabilities across more business and treasury use cases. AI agents will take on more complex financial workflows. Businesses will retain control over authorization, risk, and compliance.
