Vartis Platforms launched UdhaarSaathi, a digital loan marketplace for small businesses. The parent of peer-to-peer lending startup LenDenClub is expanding into working-capital credit for merchants. Loans range from ₹15,000 to ₹2.5 lakh, with an average around ₹1 lakh.
How the marketplace works
UdhaarSaathi connects applicants with multiple non-banking financial companies. Merchants share banking and business transaction records with their consent. Vartis does not take credit risk on loans arranged through the platform.
Company performance
Vartis reported net profit of ₹96.2 crore in FY26. That was up 183% from ₹34 crore in FY25. Operating revenue rose 43% to ₹338 crore.
Merchant focus
The platform targets neighborhood grocery stores, pharmacies, street vendors, and other small retailers in India. Its first version went live in February. A final version followed a couple of months later.
Vartis aims to facilitate ₹1,000 crore in disbursements through UdhaarSaathi by the end of FY27. The company is also preparing to become IPO-ready over the next 12 to 18 months. It has not set a listing date.
