Portuguese AI startup Granter has raised a €1.6 million Seed round led by 3XP Global. Its platform uses AI to help businesses find and apply for European public funding. Participants include Celtis Venture Partners, Gateway Ventures, and Deel.
Round details
The Seed round brings Granter's total funding to €2 million. 3XP Global led through its Impact Innovation Fund under the Venture Capital Programme of Portugal's Fundo de Capitalização e Resiliência. Banco Português de Fomento manages that fund.
Clients and traction
Granter was created in 2023 and won PITCH at Web Summit in November 2025. The company reports that it has supported more than 140 businesses in applications for over €30 million in funding. Its clients include ANA Airports, MC Sonae, Galp, the Portuguese Navy, and Fidelidade.
What the platform does
The platform includes a chat-based AI Grant Consultant. It helps users identify funding opportunities, prepare applications, and manage approved projects. Granter keeps each client's information in separate silos and does not use customer data to fine-tune its models.
Granter plans to more than double its workforce from 5 to 15 people by the end of the year. It will expand into Spain, Germany, and Italy, where it already has investors and commercial contacts. The company also aims to enter the US around 2028.
