CrowdStrike announced a definitive agreement to acquire Dreadnode, a provider of automated AI security testing. The deal will add testing for AI models, applications, and agents to the Falcon platform. Dreadnode's technology finds weaknesses before AI reaches production.
Deal terms
CrowdStrike will pay predominantly in cash for the acquisition. A portion of the price will be delivered as stock subject to vesting conditions. The transaction remains subject to customary closing conditions.
Company context
CrowdStrike provides a cloud-native cybersecurity platform called Falcon. Dreadnode specializes in automated security testing for AI systems. Its team will join CrowdStrike's Cyber Superintelligence Lab.
How testing works
Dreadnode runs more than 100 known AI attack strategies against models, agent reasoning loops, applications, and MCP servers. Users describe what to test in plain language. Findings are ranked by severity and mapped to OWASP, MITRE ATLAS, and NIST AI RMF.
The acquisition is expected to close during CrowdStrike's fourth quarter of fiscal 2027. Automated AI Security Testing will be generally available in Q4 fiscal 2027. Dreadnode findings will feed Falcon Guardian policy recommendations and SafeMind models.
