Yvonne Bajela has launched Evertrue Capital, a new venture fund with $17 million in committed capital. The former Phoenix Court partner will target Pre-Seed investments in AI and frontier technology across the UK and Europe. Backers include Phoenix Court's Basecamp, the British Business Bank, Better Society Capital, Bootstrap 4F, and Allocator One.

Fund strategy

The fund was oversubscribed. It plans to lead a small number of deals each year. Evertrue expects to back at least 20 startups over the next three years.

Early portfolio

Evertrue has already made seven investments. They include Revion, which builds AI agents for the automotive sector, and Poindexter Labs, an AI lab. Zuba, a fintech for global business infrastructure, and Zaro, a shared knowledge layer, are also in the portfolio.

Investment approach

Typical check sizes will be around £350,000. The fund will lead and co-invest before consensus forms. It plans to support founders with capital, access, and operational help from its network.

Bajela previously invested in Wise, Marshmallow, and Moove. She believes the best time to invest is before a market has proof. Half of Evertrue's first seven portfolio companies already operate in the US.
