Chinese brain-computer interface startup NeuroXess raised CN¥700 million in Series B funding. SDIC Juli, Shenzhen Capital Group, and Qinzhi Capital co-led the round. The company builds implantable systems that decode movement and speech.
Use of funds
The new capital will support multicenter clinical trials and regulatory submissions. It will also fund manufacturing capacity and next-generation product development. NeuroXess plans further work on BCI and AI integration.
Clinical progress
NeuroXess reports 65 completed clinical cases. In July 2026, it launched a registration trial involving nearly 20 hospitals. The trial is led by Mao Ying's team at Huashan Hospital.
Manufacturing plans
NeuroXess is building a 14,300-square-meter manufacturing facility. The plant has a planned annual capacity of 10,000 systems. Its implantable system combines flexible electrodes with wireless power and data transmission.
NeuroXess plans to bring its system to the medical market at scale within two years. It will continue improving language brain-computer interfaces and accelerate visual interface research. The company also plans to explore BCI and AI models in real-world settings.
