Anchorage Digital expanded its partnership with Bitso to provide custody across the US-Mexico stablecoin corridor. The bank now custodies MXNB, a Mexican peso stablecoin, on six blockchains. Bitso also listed USDPT and USAT, two dollar stablecoins issued and custodied by Anchorage Digital Bank.

Custody coverage

MXNB support covers Arbitrum, Base, Ethereum, Polygon, Avalanche, and Arc. The arrangement places Anchorage Digital Bank on both sides of the peso-dollar flow. Clients can store and access the peso stablecoin through one custody relationship.

Company roles

Anchorage Digital operates America's first federally chartered crypto bank. Bitso is a Latin American digital financial services group. Western Union and Tether are the companies behind USDPT and USAT.

Platform access

Bitso users in Mexico can now buy and sell USDPT with pesos in the Bitso app. Western Union agents with Bitso Business accounts can convert between USDPT and other supported currencies. Dollar and peso stablecoins now sit side by side on Bitso and Anchorage.

The US-Mexico remittance corridor moves tens of billions of dollars each year. Around 15% of that volume already flows through Bitso's infrastructure. Issuers, banks, and payment companies can now connect to Anchorage Digital Bank's custody on both ends of the flow.
