Luxor Technology raised US$16 million in a strategic round led by CMT Digital. Canaan, MicroBT, Halo, Steelhead, and additional angel investors also participated. The Seattle company supplies hardware, software, finance, and energy tools for Bitcoin mining and AI compute.
Use of funds
Primary and secondary capital make up the round. Luxor will put the investment toward its agentic cloud platform and working capital for its AI hardware business. It also plans to expand compute derivatives trading and market making.
Recent expansion
Luxor AI launched in September to extend the company's stack into AI and high-performance computing. Its hardware brokerage desk has traded US$1 billion in ASIC hardware for Bitcoin mining. Luxor Energy services more than 75 megawatts across ERCOT and SPP.
Hardware and derivatives
Luxor's AI hardware desk sources GPUs and AI servers through a network of partners and major OEMs. As a value-added reseller, it can access abandoned orders, special allocation, and used markets. Its over-the-counter desk already offers cash-settled options, forwards, and backstops on compute-rental indexes.
The backers include hardware, capital, and power partners across the compute supply chain. CMT Digital brings nearly three decades of electronic trading and market-structure experience. The company plans to add engineering and go-to-market roles.
