The European Investment Bank has signed a €40 million venture debt loan with Impress. Impress operates a digital orthodontics network across Europe and the United States. The financing is guaranteed by InvestEU.

Loan purpose

The loan will support investment in the company's clinical AI platform. It will also help Impress expand in Northern Europe. The project supports the EIB Group's priority on technological innovation and digitalization.

Company background

Impress was founded in Barcelona in 2019. Its founders are Vladimir Lupenko, Diliara Lupenko, and Khaled Kasem. The company operates more than 110 clinics in 10 countries.

What the platform does

Impress combines in-person care at specialized clinics with remote monitoring. Its system includes 3D intraoral scans, AI-assisted treatment planning, and a mobile app. The company says its AI engine uses a database of 500,000 patients.

Impress has consolidated its presence in Southern Europe. Its next growth phase will focus on Germany, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom. The project also contributes to the EIB Group's TechEU program.
