Argentina’s ten largest reported startup financing announcements identified between January 1 and October 23, 2026, totaled US$397.4 million, covering digital finance, enterprise software, biotechnology, entertainment and mining technology. Ualá led with US$197 million, followed by Humand’s US$66 million Series A and Pomelo’s US$55 million Series C. The selection includes established scaleups expanding internationally and earlier-stage companies developing products for regional and global markets.

Where Argentina’s Largest Startup Financings Concentrated

Ualá Nearly Matched the Other Nine Rounds Combined

Ualá’s US$197 million financing represented 49.6% of the US$397.4 million combined total, almost matching the US$200.4 million raised across the other nine companies. Adding Humand and Pomelo brings the three largest transactions to US$318 million, or approximately 80% of the amount represented here. The other seven rounds collectively raised US$79.4 million, showing how strongly three announcements influenced the overall total.

Enterprise Software Outraised Fintech Beyond the Largest Round

Fintech accounts for US$274 million across Ualá, Pomelo, Belo, and Autonomy, equivalent to 68.9% of the reported total. Excluding Ualá, the remaining three fintech companies raised US$77 million, below the US$96 million combined for Humand and COR in enterprise software. Those two software businesses therefore account for 47.9% of the US$200.4 million raised by the other nine companies, changing the sector balance once the largest transaction is removed.

Tether Appeared in Rounds Representing More Than Half the Total

Tether participated in Ualá’s US$197 million round and led belo’s US$14 million Series A, bringing the combined value of the associated financings to US$211 million, or 53.1% of the ranking’s total. Ualá identified Tether’s contribution as US$20 million already included in its round, while belo’s announcement did not disclose Tether’s individual investment. The US$211 million measures the full size of these two rounds and must not be interpreted as the amount invested by Tether.

Founded by Adrián Mutto, Adrián Abalovich and Mariela Balbo, the startup develops genetically edited pigs for research into future organ transplants, drawing on Argentina’s scientific ecosystem and the National University of San Martín. The reported financing supports technology development and specialist infrastructure, while its US$6.7 million cumulative funding includes an earlier US$700,000 pre-seed round.

Methodology

This review covers the ten largest reported startup financing announcements identified between January 1 and October 23, 2026. Companies qualify when Argentina is their primary startup ecosystem, assessed through headquarters, substantive operations and established market presence, including qualifying businesses headquartered abroad. Founder nationality, a local office or customers in Argentina alone are insufficient.

The ranking covers independently founded, privately held, innovation-driven startups and scaleups, including equity rounds, SAFEs, convertible notes and strategic financing. Eligible mixed packages are ranked at their full announced value, including associated debt, grant or secondary components, and transactions awaiting regulatory approval remain eligible when clearly identified as conditional. Standalone debt, standalone grants, secondary-only transactions, acquisitions, public offerings, public-company financings, corporate-created or controlled subsidiaries and traditional businesses are excluded.

TravelX’s August 2026 Series A was reviewed but could not be ranked because the amount of new investment was not disclosed. The US$45 million figure accompanying that announcement describes cumulative company funding. tapi’s US$27 million Series B was excluded under the Argentina-primary rule because its headquarters and principal business focus are in Mexico.

All ten amounts were directly reported in US dollars, so no additional currency conversions were required. Ualá is shown at its latest US$197 million round total, including Tether’s US$20 million participation, and Shorta is shown at its updated US$7 million pre-seed total. CrofaBiotech’s reported US$6 million Seed amount is counted separately from its earlier US$700,000 pre-seed, rather than treating US$6.7 million of cumulative funding as a new round.

Conventional funding stages follow explicit company, investor or credible media reporting, with other transactions classified as Undisclosed. BIOMAKERS and Autonomy are tied at US$8 million and are ordered by their earliest public announcement dates. CrofaBiotech’s reported US$6 million Seed round sets the cutoff for the ten announcements shown here.

The ten reported transactions totaled US$397.4 million, with the three largest accounting for approximately 80% and four fintech companies representing 68.9% of the combined value. Enterprise software contributed US$96 million, while biotechnology, entertainment and mining technology accounted for the remaining US$27.4 million. These figures describe the selected financing announcements and their reported round totals, providing a view of the largest identified transactions without representing all startup investment in Argentina.
