COR, an AI-powered project profitability platform for professional services firms, has successfully secured a US$30 million investment led by growth equity firm FTV Capital. This funding arrives as the company marks a significant growth phase, having closed the previous year with a 51% revenue increase and positive profitability. The new capital is earmarked to enhance COR's artificial intelligence capabilities, facilitate expansion into new service verticals, and accelerate its global market presence.

A Solution Born from Firsthand Experience

The company's origins trace back to its founders' direct experience within the creative industry. Co-founders Santi Bibiloni and Jose Gettas previously built and sold Balloon Group, a marketing agency, where they identified a critical industry-wide problem. They realized that service-based companies, whose primary cost is employee time, often lack real-time visibility into the profitability of individual clients and projects, hindering effective decision-making.

This insight became the foundation for COR, a platform designed to provide leaders with the operational clarity needed to improve profitability. Developed with CTO Gabriel Marin, the platform attracted early support from prominent figures like Marcos Galperin, the founder and CEO of Mercado Libre. This initial backing underscored the pressing need for a solution that could unify fragmented operational data into a single, coherent system.

Navigating the New Era of Hybrid Teams

The professional services landscape is undergoing a fundamental transformation with the integration of AI agents alongside human teams. This shift introduces new complexities in how work is planned, executed, and monetized, as AI brings different cost structures and timelines. Managing these hybrid teams profitably has emerged as a significant challenge, turning profitability tracking from a financial issue into a daily operational necessity.

COR addresses this challenge by functioning as a comprehensive operating system that merges the work of people and AI agents. The platform combines project management, automated time tracking, resource planning, and real-time profitability analytics into one unified view. According to CEO Santi Bibiloni, “For years, the challenge was coordinating people. In this new stage it will be coordinating people and AI agents without losing sight of the profitability of every project.”

Driving Growth with Strategic Investment

The US$30 million investment from FTV Capital provides COR with the resources to scale its vision for the next generation of service companies. The funds will directly support the acceleration of AI features that customers are already adopting, helping them navigate the new operational reality. This strategic partnership is designed to leverage FTV's extensive experience in scaling global enterprise software companies, positioning COR for its next stage of growth.

As part of the investment, FTV Capital partner Alex Malvone and principal Tommy Tighe will join COR's board of directors. “COR stands out for offering its customers a purpose-built solution that delivers the visibility and intelligence needed to operate in this new era,” stated Malvone. He expressed confidence in the COR team's achievements and FTV's commitment to helping scale the company's business and long-term vision.

Client Success and Industry Validation

Today, leading agencies and consultancies across 38 countries, including major players like Globant and DDB Colombia, rely on COR for their operations. Clients emphasize the platform's strategic value beyond simple management. Andrés Carvajal, CEO of Sancho BBDO, noted, “Because our company runs on COR, we can have commercial and operational conversations with our clients backed by real-time data,” which strengthens trust and improves decision-making.

This sentiment is echoed by other industry leaders who see such platforms as essential for transparency and profitability. The company's strong investor base, which includes founders of billion-dollar technology companies and executives from Google and Yahoo!, further validates its market position. This widespread support reflects deep confidence in COR's ability to solve a fundamental problem for the professional services industry.

With this substantial new funding and a strengthened board, COR is well-positioned to lead the charge in redefining how professional services firms operate. The company's focus on integrating human and AI workflows addresses a critical and evolving market need for enhanced operational clarity. As the industry continues to adapt, COR's platform aims to be the essential operating system for building more sustainable and profitable businesses.
