Windward Bio has filed to list its common shares on the Nasdaq Global Market. The clinical-stage biotech develops ultra-long-acting antibody medicines for serious respiratory and dermatologic diseases. The company has raised up to $365 million in equity since launching in January 2025.

Planned use of proceeds

The filing does not disclose the number of shares or a price range. Windward named WIN378 as its top spending priority. Proceeds would fund asthma and COPD trials, a second Phase 3 asthma study, and related research.

Company and funding

Windward is based in Basel and launched in January 2025. CEO Luca Santarelli previously led VectivBio and Therachon. Its investors include OrbiMed, Novo Holdings, SR One, and Omega Funds.

Product pipeline

WIN378 is in Phase 2/3 testing for severe asthma and Phase 2 testing for COPD. A pre-planned analysis showed a half-life of up to 75 days and improved lung function at week 24. WIN027 is an ultra-long-acting bispecific antibody targeting TSLP and IL-13 in a Phase 1 study.

Windward plans to start patient recruitment for POLARIS-2 in the first half of 2027. It also plans Phase 2b and Phase 2 studies for WIN027 in COPD and atopic dermatitis. The company expects to advance its preclinical bispecific programs through IND-enabling studies.
