Egyptian e-commerce logistics startup Turuq raised Seed funding from Den VC. The round amount was not disclosed. The company provides warehousing, order fulfillment, and last-mile delivery for online merchants in Egypt.
Program and funding use
Funding followed Turuq's participation in the InvestIT program run by Flat6Labs with ITIDA and TIEC. The new capital will go toward technology development and internal systems. It will also help expand the company's micro-fulfillment network.
Company and scale
Turuq was co-founded by Ahmed Atta and Karim Kamal. It serves more than 100 active merchants and has worked with about 300 since launch. The company employs around 65 people.
What merchants get
Turuq handles warehousing, picking, packing, and shipping for e-commerce brands. Its platform supports shipment tracking, courier allocation, and route improvement. Operations are currently concentrated in Cairo and Giza.
Turuq plans to double monthly orders from between 75,000 and 100,000 within four months. It also plans to open five warehouses over the next year. Egypt remains the immediate focus, though the company may license its technology to partners in other markets later.
