TBS Group, Toei Animation, and TV TOKYO Holdings have invested in AniBiz.com. AniBiz, run by Nakama Inc., is an official platform for licensing anime intellectual property. The platform now hosts more than 30 licensors, up from 20 at its July 4 launch.

New licensor additions

The platform has added several new rights holders since its July launch. New licensors include ABC Animation, DMM.com, docomo Anime Store, Genco, and GREE Entertainment. They join earlier partners such as ADK Emotions, Avex Pictures, and CyberAgent.

Nakama's track record

Nakama is headquartered in San Francisco. Its team founded and operated Crunchyroll, growing it past 10 million global subscribers and $1 billion in revenue. AniBiz is its first service and a B2B marketplace for the global anime industry.

How AniBiz works

AniBiz is now open to licensees worldwide. Any company can sign up for free at anibiz.com and complete verification. The platform works for brands, manufacturers, retailers, game developers, restaurants, event organizers, agencies, and creators.

Signup starts today for companies worldwide. No existing anime industry relationships are needed. Interested users can connect directly with official rights holders after verification.
