Sparkle Grooming Co., a wellness-focused dog grooming franchise pioneering the Quick-Service Pet Care category, has secured $6 million in strategic growth financing. The round was led by Companion Fund, a venture capital fund managed by Digitalis Ventures in partnership with Mars Petcare. The announcement comes as the Scottsdale, Arizona based company surpasses 600 franchise licenses awarded and enters its next phase of national expansion.

Strategic Investment and Platform Growth

The new financing will help strengthen the platform behind Sparkle's rapid franchise growth. The company plans to use the capital to increase its capacity to support franchise partners, accelerate expansion, and scale the system with discipline. The investment is also expected to support the operational foundation required as more locations prepare to open across the country.

Leadership Perspective on the Investment

Ben Crawford, co-founder and chief executive officer of Sparkle Grooming Co., said the significance of the investment goes well beyond the capital. He noted that Digitalis brings deep experience across pet care and animal health, along with a perspective that is highly relevant to where the industry is going. Crawford described the funding as meaningful validation of the model and a source of additional resources for what comes next.

Franchise Momentum and Expansion Plans

Sparkle has awarded more than 600 franchise licenses in just 24 months to multi-unit franchise partners nationwide. The company currently operates 10 salons and is preparing a growing pipeline of new locations across the country. Sparkle expects to finish 2026 with at least 20 salons open and plans more than 30 additional openings for 2027.

A Differentiated Model for Grooming and Wellness

Sparkle was founded to modernize a highly fragmented category by making routine hygiene and grooming a more consistent part of a dog's overall wellness. Its Quick-Service Pet Care model combines recurring memberships, standardized operating systems, proprietary technology, and a hospitality-driven customer experience. The company aims to move the category from a transactional service to a routine, trusted care experience while creating a more repeatable business model for franchise owners.

Investor Confidence and Long-Term Durability

Ben Jacobs, partner at Digitalis Ventures, said Sparkle stood out for its combination of a differentiated consumer proposition and a team that understands how to build and scale a franchise system. He noted the company has demonstrated strong early adoption while remaining focused on the capabilities required to build a durable business over the long term. That balance, Jacobs indicated, aligns with the fund's approach to supporting meaningful innovation in pet care.

National Expansion and Franchise Opportunities

With financing in place, Sparkle is entering a new phase of unit expansion and continues to pursue select multi-unit franchise partners in priority markets. The company is focused on expanding its footprint in a disciplined manner while supporting existing franchise owners. More information about franchise opportunities is available through the company's website at sparkledogcare.com.

The $6 million investment marks an important step in Sparkle's effort to build a national brand around routine dog grooming and wellness. With a growing franchise network and a strengthened operational platform, the company is positioned to scale its salon count over the next two years. Sparkle's expansion plans reflect its broader goal of bringing consistent, trusted pet care experiences to more communities across the United States.
