Skoka Inc. raised US$21.5 million and submitted a bundled Premarket Tobacco Product Application to the FDA covering 55 nicotine pouch products. The company makes nicotine pouches for adult users and was founded by Dan Aziz. A group of professional athletes backed the round.

FDA filing

Skoka committed US$15 million to its regulatory program. The filing includes three completed pharmacokinetic studies and a full scientific package. That package covers stability, toxicology, actual use, and label comprehension.

Investor backing

More than a dozen professional athletes across hockey, football, and golf invested their own capital. Named investors include Jack Eichel, Dylan Larkin, Anthony Kim, Sam Gagner, Beau Allen, and Scottie Upshall. Other backers include media executive Darren Throop and PSG Equity founder Mark Hastings.

Product and manufacturing

Skoka developed its own formulation and flavor system instead of using a white-label product. The formula uses nine exclusive ingredients and has two patent applications filed. Products are made in US FDA-registered facilities with globally sourced ingredients.

Skoka expects to begin US retail distribution in 2027, subject to FDA marketing authorization. The company introduced the brand to retailers and distributors at the NACS Show in Las Vegas. Skoka is also the exclusive nicotine pouch partner of Authentic Live.
