Sentra raised $150 million in strategic capital led by Capital One Ventures. The New York and Tel Aviv company sells agentic data security software. Its platform helps enterprises protect data where it lives and control access by people and AI agents.

Funding details

The round adds a Capital One representative to Sentra's board. Sentra's existing investors include Bessemer Venture Partners, Zeev Ventures, Standard Investments, Munich Re Ventures, and Key1 Capital. Sentra reported more than 300% year-over-year growth ahead of the announcement.

Company and customers

Sentra is based in New York and Tel Aviv. Yoav Regev is its co-founder and CEO. Lyft uses the platform to check what data AI agents can reach before deployment.

How the platform works

Sentra scans data across cloud, SaaS, data warehouses, and on-premises systems without moving it. It classifies sensitive information and maps access for people, service accounts, and AI agents. It also detects unusual access and automates remediation.

Sentra will use the funding to expand platform innovation around agent visibility, least privilege, and rapid containment. It also plans to scale field and channel programs. The company will grow its brand and marketing efforts and enter new geographies.
