Israeli startup Explorium is shutting down after nearly nine years. Founders Omer Har and Or Tamir announced the closure in a farewell post. The company, founded in 2017, raised more than US$127 million and built AI data tools for businesses.

Funding history

Explorium raised a US$3.6 million seed round and a US$15.5 million Series A led by Zeev Ventures. It later secured a US$31 million Series B and a US$75 million Series C led by Insight Partners. Investors also included Emerge, F2 Capital, and 01 Advisors.

Company evolution

Explorium started with a data enrichment platform that connected organizations to external data sources. Its tools helped data professionals improve machine learning predictions and business decisions. Co-founder Maor Shlomo went on to found Base44, which Wix acquired.

Shift to AI agents

After Omer Har became CEO, the company pivoted toward generative AI and AI agents. It launched AgentSource in early 2025 as a B2B data platform for go-to-market agents. The company also built Vibe Prospecting, an in-chat prospecting app that reached more than 350,000 registered users.

The founders thanked customers, users, partners, investors, and employees. They called building Explorium the privilege of their careers. The team is reaching out directly to customers and users with details.
