Grupo Pitzi, a leading Brazilian company in smartphone protection and rentals, has announced its merger with Renov, a specialist in electronics trade-in solutions. This strategic union forms a new group projected to generate R$ 280 million in sales by 2026. The move aims to create a comprehensive ecosystem covering the entire lifecycle of mobile devices for consumers and retailers.

A Strategic Integration for the Electronics Market

The primary objective of the merger is to offer an integrated suite of services that enhances profit margins for electronics retailers. By combining Renov's AI-powered trade-in technology with Pitzi's financial protection services, the group provides a seamless customer journey. This synergy allows retailers to offer more value from the point of sale to the end of a device's life.

This new entity is positioned to capitalize on Brazil's vast mobile device market, which includes approximately 257 million active smartphones. Annually, the market sees around 40 million new and 40 million used devices sold, presenting a significant opportunity. The group's combined services are designed to capture a larger share of these transactions by addressing various consumer needs.

Projected Growth and Financial Outlook

The financial outlook for the consolidated group is robust, with a sales projection of R$ 280 million by 2026. Following the integration and the accelerated growth of its device rental arm, Leapfone, the company anticipates a 40% increase in revenue in 2027. These figures reflect the company's confidence in its expanded business model and market position.

Renov brings significant momentum to the partnership, having recorded a remarkable 320% growth in the volume of acquired devices during the first half of 2026 compared to the previous year. This rapid expansion highlights the strong demand for structured trade-in programs in the Brazilian retail sector. The performance underscores Renov's value and its potential to drive growth within the new group structure.

Unified Leadership and Vision

The leadership of the newly formed group will be helmed by Felipe Mendes, CEO of Pitzi, who brings extensive experience in management and digital transformation. He will be supported by a team of executives from both companies, including Renov co-founders Matheus Mundstock and Ismael Kolling. This unified leadership structure ensures a smooth integration and a shared strategic direction for the combined entity.

According to Felipe Mendes, the union creates an ecosystem that follows the complete smartphone journey, from trading in an old device to protecting and renting a new one. This approach is designed to expand opportunities for retail partners and increase the recurrence of services throughout a device's lifecycle. The vision is to build a sustainable and profitable model for all stakeholders involved in the process.

The merger between Grupo Pitzi and Renov marks a pivotal development in Brazil's electronics service industry, establishing a formidable player in the circular economy. By integrating trade-in, protection, and rental services, the group is poised to deliver enhanced value to retailers and consumers alike. This strategic consolidation is expected to drive innovation and reshape how mobile devices are managed throughout their lifecycle.
