PhotonPay, a stablecoin-focused fintech, raised US$40 million in a Series C round. Blockchain Capital led the funding. New investor SBI Group joined, while IDG Capital, GL Ventures, and Lightspeed Faction made follow-on investments.
Use of proceeds
The company will use the capital to expand its Financial OS. It plans to enhance multi-asset wallet capabilities and global card issuing. It also aims to develop an agent-ready financial execution layer.
Operational scale
As of August 2026, PhotonPay reported annualized transaction volume of US$65 billion. The company holds 34 payment and financial licenses across the Americas, Europe, and Asia. It serves more than 200,000 business customers in over 200 countries and territories.
How the platform works
PhotonPay's Financial OS combines multi-asset wallets, money movement, foreign exchange, clearing, and card issuing. It supports stablecoin and fiat balances through an API-first system. Businesses can issue virtual or physical cards and embed payments into their own workflows.
The company said it will strengthen local clearing and compliance infrastructure in existing markets. It also plans to expand into new jurisdictions. PhotonPay is developing policy-based execution controls for AI agents.
