Magna Collective arranged 61 one-on-one meetings between 16 investors and 26 startups at an event in Lagos. The Investor Connection Drive took place on October 27, 2026. Google for Startups, the UK-Nigeria Tech Hub, and the Office for Nigerian Digital Innovation sponsored the program.
How the meetings were matched
Magna Collective used data from more than 24,000 Nigerian companies and proprietary AI tools. It paired startups and investors by funding stage, check size, and sector focus. Investors reviewed and approved proposed meetings before the event.
Funding backdrop
Nigerian startups raised $635 million in the first nine months of 2026. That total was more than double the amount recorded in the same period of 2025. Only 77 startups raised at least $100,000, while Moove's $250 million deal accounted for almost 40% of the total.
Participating startups
The companies operate across fintech, healthcare, artificial intelligence, logistics, energy, agriculture, and education. More than two-thirds have women in leadership positions. Eleven are alumni of Google programs, including the Black Founders Fund and the Google AI Fund.
Magna Collective plans to monitor follow-up discussions and capital commitments over the next six months and publish the findings. It will also launch The State of Early-Stage Venture in Nigeria report alongside a live webinar on November 18, 2026. Registration is available through the webinar registration page.
