Neuron Industries has raised an oversubscribed $10 million Seed round. The round was co-led by FCVC and Obvious Ventures. The company builds an AI-native industrial controller and software stack used to automate factory equipment.

Additional investors

Y Combinator, Thin Line Capital, Zee Prime Capital, and Founder Factor also participated. Neuron publicly launched in August. The new capital follows that launch.

Team and origins

Neuron was founded in May 2026 by Dennis Ren and Kenneth Rhee. Ren was Freeform's first electrical engineer and built controls for an autonomous metal 3D-printing factory. Rhee previously worked on software infrastructure at Amazon and founded WorkIPO.

What the product does

The Cortex AI Industrial Controller combines real-time control, development tools, an operator interface, and process-data collection in one device. The Synapse development environment lets engineers describe machine behavior in plain English and generate readable control code. Teams can inspect, modify, and test the code in simulation before deploying it.

The company plans to release Cortex in Q1 2027. It will then add domestic production capacity in the United States. Neuron is also assembling a team to support that work.
