Percepto introduced Axion, a hardware-agnostic Physical AI platform, under new CEO Julien Bellanger. The software works with existing or new drone fleets and sensors. It draws on more than 160 specialized AI models.
What Axion offers
Axion is available today as a software-as-a-service offering. It ingests inspection data from third-party drone platforms, fixed and mobile sensors, and existing archives. The system can identify a downed wire or evaluate a thermal anomaly with asset context and history.
Company background
Percepto was founded in 2014 and is headquartered in Austin, Texas. It serves power, oil and gas, and industrial customers, including Fortune 500 organizations. In 2023 it raised $67 million through $50 million in equity and $17 million in debt.
Capabilities and contract
Axion lets operators ask questions about assets and inspection findings in plain language. Teams can add Percepto's Ranger drones and Harbor stations for fresh data. A leading U.S. energy company awarded Percepto a multi-year contract for transmission line inspection.
Percepto is consolidating engineering, manufacturing, and assembly in the United States. The effort builds on its existing U.S. remote operations. Axion is available now, and demonstrations can be requested through the company website.
