NanoFrontier, a Japanese deep tech startup, has been selected for the Garage+ Grow Up with TAIWAN Program 2026. The program will run in Taipei from December 6 to 12, 2026. The company develops nanoparticle-based materials and is advancing a rapid PFAS detection reagent.
Program details
Garage+ is run by Taiwan's Epoch Foundation. Participants receive travel support and are not required to give equity. The week includes one-on-one meetings with decision makers and an invitation-only Open House.
Company background
NanoFrontier was founded on April 7, 2025. It is based in Sendai and operates from a Tohoku University research center. The startup uses proprietary nanoparticle generation technology for environmental and energy materials.
The technology
The PFAS reagent disperses nano pigments in water to detect low concentrations on site. It is designed for factory wastewater, process water, and incoming material screening. NanoFrontier currently tests customer samples in its lab and plans to sell the reagent later.
In Taiwan, NanoFrontier will seek proof-of-concept projects with semiconductor EHS departments, chemical suppliers, and water treatment operators. It will also discuss cooling liquids for AI server liquid cooling with ODM and module makers. The company plans to use the program to establish manufacturing conditions and a stable supply.
