FuriosaAI raised US$620 million in a Series D round. The South Korea-based company develops AI accelerators for data center inference. The financing values FuriosaAI at about US$2.9 billion.
Investor participation
International investors contributed US$110 million to the round. Infinitum was the largest international investor. The National Growth Fund of Korea invested US$280 million as the largest participant.
Company focus
FuriosaAI was founded in 2017. It designs high-performance, energy-efficient AI accelerators for data centers. Its second-generation chip, RNGD, entered mass production in January 2026.
What RNGD does
The RNGD card draws 180 watts and uses air cooling. FuriosaAI says it delivers throughput comparable to a GPU using twice as much power. LG Group, Upstage, and Samsung SDS have deployed the chip.
FuriosaAI expects to produce 20,000 RNGD accelerators in 2026. It plans to more than double production to over 40,000 units in 2027. The new capital will also support development of its third-generation AI accelerator.
