FinSight Ventures launched a $100 million Physical AI Index Fund. The vehicle is the firm's second thematic index fund. It will target a concentrated portfolio of 10 to 12 companies in Physical AI.
A demographic gap
The firm links the fund to a structural labor shortage. UN projections show the working-age population in East Asia, Europe, and the United States will contract by 342 million people by 2050. That cohort represents about 55% of global GDP.
FinSight background
FinSight was founded in 2012 and has offices in the United States, India, and Cyprus. It manages more than $1 billion in assets and counts 13 unicorns in its portfolio. Last year it launched the FinSight Gen AI Index Fund.
What the fund covers
The new fund will focus on four Physical AI segments: robotics, AI for Science, foundation layer, and hardware and infrastructure. It is the first institutional vehicle dedicated exclusively to Physical AI. The fund targets an aggregate portfolio capitalization of $5.7 trillion by 2031.
FinSight said the enabling technologies for Physical AI converged between 2023 and 2025. Simulation, VLA models, and the EV supply chain now support large-scale deployment. The firm sees the next phase as deployment at scale.
