Magic Vision raised €600,000 to support its AI-powered monitoring system called Silver Eye. Investors included SixS and Italian business angels with expertise in law, compliance, and business development. The Italian deeptech startup develops computer vision tools for older people and vulnerable individuals.

Funding and rollout

The funding enabled Magic Vision to complete Silver Eye development and bring it to market. More than 200 sensors are installed in pilot and commercial projects with Italian care providers. The company aims to monitor over 100 people by the end of 2026.

Company origins

Magic Vision was founded in 2023. The idea came from co-founder and CTO Federico Lanzani's personal experience. His grandfather fell and remained on the floor for a full day.

How Silver Eye works

Silver Eye uses AI and environmental sensors to detect falls and behavior changes without wearables. It processes data locally through edge AI and does not store or transmit images. The system is intended for private homes, senior living facilities, cohousing, and residential care settings.

The company is preparing another funding round to support commercial growth. It plans to expand its partner and distributor network in Italy and enter European markets. Magic Vision also aims to grow its international customer base over the next two years.
