Hydrosat announced Nyktòs, a high-resolution mid-wave infrared program. The new capability will deliver day-and-night thermal imaging for tactical ISR. It is intended for NATO and allied sovereign missions from an expanded European footprint.

Complementary thermal coverage

Nyktòs will complement the longwave infrared technology planned for Hydrosat's Osiris constellation. Osiris is designed to monitor broad areas across a 340-kilometer swath. Nyktòs will let customers examine smaller thermal features in greater detail.

European expansion

Hydrosat will open additional facilities and grow its network of European supply chain partners. The company will advance high-resolution MWIR technology development in the region. The investments will support national security, critical infrastructure, and crisis response missions.

Tasking and analysis

Customers can task the day-and-night imaging capability. Osiris can identify unusual activity across a region and cue Nyktòs for closer analysis. Analysts can combine this data with historical, optical, and radar information.

New European offices and supply chain partners will support spacecraft integration, mission operations, data processing, and thermal analytics. The expansion will deepen the company's role in Europe's sovereign space market. It may also support national programs and observation networks developed by Europe and its allies.
