Bengaluru-based home decor marketplace Vaaree has successfully secured ₹65 crore, approximately $6.8 million, in its Series A funding round. The investment was co-led by Hero Enterprise and Cap Alpha Ventures, with strong participation from existing backers like Peak XV’s Surge. This new capital is earmarked for expanding its logistics network and further developing its proprietary AI-powered styling technology.

Enhancing Logistics and Delivery Speed

Vaaree intends to use the fresh capital to significantly expand its fulfilment network and establish additional quality-verification hubs in key markets. This strategic move is aimed at bringing inventory closer to customers, which will accelerate delivery timelines across the country. The ultimate goal is to enable next-day deliveries in major cities, thereby improving both quality control and overall product availability.

AI-Powered Personalization with VibeCheck

A central focus of the investment is strengthening VibeCheck, the company's proprietary AI-powered discovery engine. This tool acts as a personal home stylist, helping users discover products that match their preferences through personalized recommendations and room visualizations. Co-founder Varun Vohra stated the goal is to solve the customer's lack of confidence in putting a space together.

A Curated Marketplace Model

Founded in 2022, Vaaree operates a curated online marketplace that distinguishes itself by working with a select group of manufacturers. This ensures that all products meet high standards for quality and design, offering a curated rather than crowded shopping experience. The platform currently hosts over 150,000 products across categories like furnishings, kitchenware, lighting, and bath products.

Strong Investor Confidence and Validation

The funding round highlights significant investor confidence in Vaaree's business model and its potential to disrupt a fragmented market. Hero Enterprise Chairman Sunil Kant Munjal praised the company's technology-led approach and its robust supply chain framework. The round also saw continued support from existing investors, including PeerCapital, All In Capital, and Better Capital, underscoring their belief in the company's growth trajectory.

Navigating the Competitive Home Decor Sector

This capital infusion arrives amidst sustained investor interest in India's home improvement and lifestyle commerce sector. The market is experiencing growth driven by rising internet penetration and a consumer shift towards organized, quality-focused retail. Vaaree's focus on AI aligns with an industry-wide trend where technology is used to simplify decision-making and enhance product discovery for shoppers.

This Series A funding marks a pivotal moment for Vaaree, providing the resources to scale its operations and technological advantage. By simultaneously strengthening its supply chain for faster delivery and refining its AI-driven customer experience, the company is well-positioned for future growth. The investment validates Vaaree's mission to make home styling accessible and intuitive for every Indian consumer through innovation.
