Rotterdam-based Hardt Hyperloop has closed a multi-million-euro investment round led by US investor Green Rock. Existing investors Perpetuum Ventures and Urban Impact Ventures also participated. The company develops high-speed transport systems for passengers and freight.

Return from bankruptcy

The investment secures continued operations of the Hardt Group after one of its companies entered bankruptcy earlier this year. A Hardt entity was declared bankrupt in early March 2026, with administrator Sjoerd Warringa confirming the news. Hardt's latest annual statement said survival depended on fresh capital and funds only until January 2026.

Company background

Hardt Hyperloop was founded in 2017 by students from Delft University of Technology. The company has spent years developing magnetic levitation, propulsion, and high-speed lane switching. It designs autonomous vehicles capable of reaching speeds up to 700 kilometers per hour.

Americas collaboration

Alongside the investment, Hardt and Green Rock signed a strategic collaboration agreement. The partners will jointly develop hyperloop projects in North, Central, and South America. Green Rock brings project origination, government and investor engagement, financing strategy, and consortium development.

Hardt plans to use the fresh capital to advance its technology and prepare for planned hyperloop projects across Europe. It will also develop new projects in additional markets. Germany has committed to building a national hyperloop reference line, with €100 million planned for it.
