Foundry Robotics raised a $100 million Series A round led by Marlinspike Partners. Khosla Ventures, Red Glass Ventures, SE Ventures, Wing VC, Axiom Ventures, Hanabi, and Zero Shot Fund also participated. The company builds and operates autonomous factories for complex assembly in Emeryville, California.
Funding use
The round was oversubscribed. Foundry will use the capital to build out its Emeryville facility. It will also speed deployment of AI models into real-world manufacturing.
Company background
Foundry was founded in 2026 and is based in Emeryville. Co-founders Adarsh Kulkarni and Emmanuel Lamacchia bring robotics and manufacturing experience. The company serves defense and commercial industries with constrained production.
How the factory works
Foundry uses a manufacturing-as-a-service model and owns its factory. Customers move from design to production in weeks without new line investments. FoundryOS links robotic cells, the factory floor, and the cloud.
The company has expanded its manufacturing footprint twentyfold to 130,000 square feet. It currently handles products such as drones, satellites, and data center infrastructure. It plans to grow its robotics research, engineering, and factory operations teams.
