Birch Hill Holdings raised a $4 million Seed round led by Multicoin Capital. The New York firm assesses, structures, and distributes credit on public blockchains. ParaFi Capital, Castle Island Ventures, and Nascent also participated.
Funding so far
The Seed round brings total financing to $6.5 million. The company will use the proceeds to build a regulated path for onchain credit and structured products. Birch Hill is building inside the U.S. regulatory framework.
New hires from Yearn and Gauntlet
Alex Cornwell, Brad Schlagel, and Ian Plosker joined from Yearn to lead the Birch Hill Absolute Value strategy. Jonathan Thomas leads vault curation after working with the Yearn team. Traver Normandi, formerly at Gauntlet, now leads business development.
Three business divisions
Birch Hill operates Vaults, Strategies, and Enterprise divisions. Its Vaults unit curates credit and risk parameters on Morpho. Strategies builds onchain credit products, while Enterprise plans private credit offerings for accredited investors.
Birch Hill met with the SEC Crypto Task Force in August. The company plans to bring tokenized credit issuance to U.S. markets. It will eventually seek to securitize pools of multifamily, agriculture, and energy loans to be held onchain.
