Eagle Cloud has closed a Series B+ funding round of nearly RMB 100 million, or approximately $14 million, only four months after its Series B round. The financing was co-led by MTR Lab and Northern Light Venture Capital, with Voyagers Partners acting as the exclusive financial adviser. The company plans to use the capital to strengthen enterprise security governance for the AI agent era and to accelerate its overseas expansion.
Funding Will Support AI Governance and Overseas Expansion
The fresh proceeds will be directed toward the continuous iteration of Yunshu, Eagle Cloud's integrated enterprise intelligent productivity governance platform. Yunshu includes AIDR, or AI Detection and Response, which addresses AI discovery, definition, identification, enforcement and measurement across the full lifecycle. The company also intends to expand its global team, pursue new markets, and improve local delivery and service capabilities beyond its existing overseas business.
Addressing the Trust Gap as AI Agents Begin to Act
AI is shifting from answering questions and supporting decisions to using tools and executing tasks within enterprise processes. Agents such as Claude Code, Codex, and WorkBuddy are already entering development, sales, operations, and other business functions, raising questions about ownership, access, accountability, and cost. Eagle Cloud believes that enterprises need governance infrastructure that can manage both people and AI agents before they can confidently grant action rights and scale adoption.
Five Stages of Agent Lifecycle Governance
AIDR is built around five connected stages that begin with automatically discovering enterprise agents and related configurations to create a dynamic asset view. It then defines operating contracts for each agent, assigns unique identities linked to responsible owners, and continuously enforces behavior against approved boundaries. Finally, the platform measures resource usage by model, agent, workflow, and responsible team to support budgeting, performance evaluation, and resource scheduling.
Control Points and Scale Provide a Practical Advantage
Eagle Cloud says its advantage lies in a large base of existing control points across identity, endpoint, network, application, and data environments. The company has served more than 1,000 enterprises across over 20 industries and covers more than 5 million endpoints, enabling AI governance to be deployed in current architectures without creating fragmented systems. Its growing portfolio of real-world deployments feeds risk patterns and operating experience back into product improvements.
Hong Kong Serves as an International Launchpad
Hong Kong is central to Eagle Cloud's global strategy, with the company among the first AI and data science enterprises to enter the Hong Kong-Shenzhen Innovation and Technology Park. The investment from MTR Lab, which focuses on smart city and sustainability solutions, will help Eagle Cloud deepen its presence in Hong Kong, Macau, and Southeast Asia before phased expansion into additional markets. Both investors highlighted increasing demand for integrated AI security governance and the company's early mover position.
Investors See Growing Demand for AI Governance
MTR Lab noted that as AI accelerates into enterprise business processes, demand for integrated cybersecurity governance continues to rise. Northern Light Venture Capital added that safety, permission, responsibility, and compliance issues have become systemic challenges that companies must address. Both investors said Eagle Cloud's technology, mature product capabilities, and ability to solve practical pain points position it well to capture opportunities from AI transformation and Chinese enterprise globalization.
Eagle Cloud's rapid follow-on financing reflects sustained investor confidence in its AI governance direction and commercialization progress. With new capital, the company aims to turn its existing control points and deployment experience into a stronger international platform for securing human and AI agent activity. As AI agents become more involved in enterprise operations, the company is betting that verifiable trust will become a core requirement for productive, responsible adoption.
