Dubai AI Campus plans to build a 100,000-square-foot facility in the Dubai International Financial Centre's Zabeel District expansion. The campus has attracted more than 500 AI companies and AED1 billion in investment since its May 2024 launch. The new building will support AI labs, testing, and wider deployment of solutions.

Facility layout

The building will include modular, laboratory-ready floors for AI labs. Public and private sector organizations can develop, test, and validate solutions there. It will also house an AI Experience Centre and conference facilities.

Growth so far

DIFC said the campus exceeded its original five-year company and investment goals two years ahead of schedule. The campus has contributed to the creation of more than 2,000 specialized technology jobs. DIFC Authority CEO Arif Amiri said the campus is now looking beyond its original targets.

Planned infrastructure

The facility will provide GPU-ready systems and secure AI development zones. Digital twin environments will allow virtual testing of systems and processes. AI-powered building systems are also included in the development plans.

Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed approved a new target to attract more than 1,000 AI companies by 2030. The plan also calls for creating over 5,000 highly skilled jobs. The announcement came during the third Dubai AI Festival at Dubai World Trade Centre.
