Docterz, a healthtech startup for clinic management, has raised ₹50 million from about 35 investors. SUGAR Cosmetics co-founder Vineeta Singh and CaratLane co-founder Avnish Anand participated in the round. Most of the new funding came from doctors who use the company's platform.
Doctor investors
Around 20 doctor users contributed nearly ₹30 million. They accounted for roughly 60% of the total raise. Singh said that kind of customer backing was a strong signal for the business.
Company context
Docterz was founded over a decade ago by Dr. Atish Laddad. The company supports more than 5,000 doctors across India. Its network has a strong presence in pediatrics.
What the platform offers
Docterz provides tools for electronic medical records, appointments, billing, vaccinations, and patient engagement. It is also developing AI features for documentation, workflow analysis, and patient follow-ups. Independent practitioners and smaller clinics use the system.
Funding will support organic growth and possible acquisitions. The company also plans to reach more independent practitioners, smaller clinics, and healthcare organizations. It will continue building practical AI tools for doctors.
