Bloomsco raised C$1 million in Pre-Seed equity funding. BDC Capital's Seed Venture Fund and Telegraph Ventures provided the capital. The Montreal startup develops AI software for military training.

Funding plans

The company will use the funding to grow its engineering team. It will also refine its technology for classified and air-gapped environments. These systems operate without access to the internet.

Defense contracts

Bloomsco has already worked with Canada's Department of National Defence. It built a qualification standard and training plan for an officer role. That work led to an ongoing contract with the Canadian Defence Academy.

How the platform works

The AI reads doctrine, technical manuals, and product specifications. It turns that material into training plans, learning materials, and simulation scenarios. Military experts shape, review, and approve every output before it is deployed.

Bloomsco plans to expand its work to NATO and allied countries. It also aims to partner with militaries and global defense primes. The longer-term goal is to deliver on-demand training for any role wherever personnel serve.
