Coveo acquired Anglera, a San Francisco-based AI-native product data enrichment startup, for an undisclosed amount. The Montreal company funded the deal with cash on hand. Coveo called the upfront investment modest, with a potential additional payment in early 2028 tied to commercial performance.
Financial results
Coveo announced the acquisition alongside its second-quarter earnings. Revenue for the fiscal period reached US$40.4 million, up 8% from the prior year. Net loss improved to US$3.1 million from US$4.4 million.
Company background
Coveo offers AI-powered search, recommendation, and discovery tools for enterprises. Its stock trades on the Toronto Stock Exchange under the symbol CVO. Anglera was backed by Y Combinator and founded by Stanford alumni Amay Aggarwal and Ray Iyer.
What the platform does
Anglera uses AI agents to extract product attributes such as dimensions, materials, and compatibility from spec sheets, PDFs, and supplier data. Coveo will offer Anglera's enrichment capabilities to Commerce customers as an add-on. In a company-reported 30-day A/B test at an apparel retailer, enriched pages saw a 120% rise in organic landing-page traffic and a 270% increase in AI-referred visits.
Anglera customers will continue using the Anglera platform with Coveo support. Coveo plans deeper integration that connects product enrichment to buyer behavior and discovery outcomes. The combined team will appear at B2B eCommerce World Americas in Indianapolis from November 2 to 3, 2026.
