Anthropic announced changes to the paid subscription plans for its Claude AI assistant. The company renamed its top Max plans and introduced a new Ultra option. The new Ultra plan costs $200 per month.
New names and prices
The former Max 5x plan is now called Max. It keeps the same $100 monthly subscription price. The previous Max 20x plan becomes Ultra.
Usage flexibility
Anthropic started removing the five-hour usage limit for verified Ultra accounts. Those subscribers gain more flexibility when using Claude during each five-hour window. A weekly usage cap remains in place for their accounts.
Service options
Claude is the company's artificial intelligence assistant service. The updated paid plans are designed to offer different usage options based on subscriber needs and consumption levels. Anthropic published the changes Friday on Claude's official X account.
The official pricing page was updated at the same time. Current subscribers remain unaffected by the plan renaming. Anthropic said the change does not remove all usage restrictions for Ultra users.
