BASE Digital, a prominent digital transformation consultancy based in Porto Alegre, has officially announced its acquisition of local startup Atendo for an undisclosed sum. This strategic move is designed to integrate a sophisticated layer of AI-powered customer relationship and automation technology into BASE's existing platform. The acquisition marks a significant step in the company's mission to offer comprehensive, end-to-end digital solutions for large enterprises across Brazil and Latin America.

Enhancing the Digital Customer Journey

The integration of Atendo's technology is intended to complete the final stage of the digital experience that BASE provides to its clients. According to co-founder and CEO Marcosw Schestak, the company is now expanding its core services beyond platform development, content, and performance. This acquisition enables BASE to unify customer data, communication channels, and automation processes into a single, cohesive consumer view, enhancing overall engagement.

Atendo, a two-year-old startup, developed a powerful platform that consolidates various contact points like WhatsApp, chatbots, email, and social media into one environment. This omnichannel solution addresses a growing corporate demand for tools that transform dispersed data into actionable intelligence for operational efficiency. The two companies had previously collaborated on successful projects for major clients, including DEXCO and Jimo, demonstrating a proven synergy.

Operational Synergy and Leadership

Following the acquisition, Atendo will maintain its brand identity while operating in alignment with the processes, governance, and standards of its new parent company. To facilitate a smooth transition and integration, BASE has appointed Juliano Simas, a seasoned professional with extensive experience in corporate products at companies like Terra, Azion, and NuvemShop. His expertise will be crucial in scaling the newly combined offerings for enterprise-level clients.

Pedro Balsemão, the founder of Atendo, expressed optimism about the merger, highlighting the benefits of leveraging BASE's established structure and extensive client network. He noted that this partnership will significantly strengthen Atendo's capabilities and accelerate innovation in generative AI and platform integrations. The collaboration is expected to expand the capacity to serve large-scale enterprises more effectively, combining agility with robust corporate support.

Ambitious Growth and Expansion Goals

With the addition of Atendo to its ecosystem, BASE Digital projects an immediate revenue acceleration of approximately 20%. The company has set a short-term goal of securing at least five new enterprise-level contracts that incorporate Atendo's omnichannel solutions. This move builds on a successful 2025, during which the firm achieved 10% growth by adding twelve new corporate accounts to its portfolio.

Looking further ahead, BASE has established an ambitious target of reaching R$ 50 million in revenue over the next three years. This acquisition is a key component of a broader growth strategy that also includes internationalization efforts. The company, which already serves over 40 major clients like Google, Raízen, and Natura, aims to solidify its presence across Latin America, with a particular focus on markets in Argentina, Uruguay, and Paraguay.

In conclusion, the acquisition of Atendo by BASE Digital represents a pivotal moment for both organizations and the regional digital transformation landscape. This strategic union not only enhances BASE's service portfolio but also positions the company for accelerated growth and international expansion. By combining established corporate reach with innovative AI-driven technology, the partnership is set to deliver more integrated and impactful digital experiences for major corporations.
