Armatrix, a robotics startup building snake-like manipulators for industrial inspection, has raised ₹672.8 million in Seed funding. Crane Venture Partners led the round. Existing investor pi Ventures also participated.

Funding details

The round comes less than a year after a US$2.1 million Pre-Seed round led by pi Ventures. Regulatory filings show the company allotted 4,070 compulsory convertible preference shares at ₹164,900 each. Entrackr estimates the round values Armatrix at ₹3.6 billion, up 4.8 times from its Pre-Seed valuation of ₹750 million.

Company context

Armatrix was founded in 2024 by Vishrant Dave, Prateesh Awasthi, and Ayush Ranjan. The company remained pre-revenue in FY26. It reported a net loss of ₹30.5 million for the year.

What the robots do

The startup builds snake-like robotic manipulators for work in hazardous and confined spaces. These tools are designed for inspection and maintenance across shipbuilding, nuclear energy, oil and gas, and aviation. They reduce the need for people to enter dangerous industrial areas.

The Seed round appears to be ongoing, with further capital likely in later tranches. Moneycontrol previously reported that Armatrix was in talks to raise US$15 million. The company plans to use the fresh proceeds for business expansion and general corporate purposes.
