Archera raised a $15 million Series C led by Pivot Investment Partners. Existing investor HighSage Ventures also joined the round. The company offers insurance-backed guarantees for cloud and AI costs and manages about $5.6 billion in annual spend.
Funding history
The financing brings Archera's total funding to $38.3 million. Customers have received more than $700 million in savings. The company says it serves over 2,200 organizations.
Company background
Archera was founded in 2019 by Aran and Nikhil Khanna. Its customers include PubNub, Art.com, and Astronomer. Aran Khanna previously worked on AI infrastructure at AWS and Azure.
How the guarantee works
Archera offers resource-level cloud and AI discounts with terms as short as 30 days. If covered usage drops, Archera covers the unused commitment under the guarantee. An insurance policy from Crum & Forster Specialty Insurance Company backs the protection.
Archera plans to expand sales and marketing and grow partner networks across North America, Europe, the Middle East, Japan, and Latin America. The capital will also support larger guarantees and upgrades to its insurance policies. A free savings assessment is available at Archera.ai.
