London-based AI data company BeatpulseLabs has successfully raised $1.8 million in a pre-seed funding round to enhance enterprise AI model performance. The round was co-led by Araya Ventures and Lighthouse Ventures, with participation from Alumni Ventures and Avalancha Ventures. This announcement follows a period of significant momentum for the company, which reported 10x revenue growth in the first half of 2026.

Addressing the Enterprise AI Data Bottleneck

As companies increasingly adopt multimodal AI, they face a critical challenge in moving models from testing to real-world operations. The primary bottleneck is not a lack of raw data, but the difficulty in creating datasets that accurately reflect human expertise and context. This gap often limits the reliability and performance of advanced AI systems in specialized, high-stakes environments.

BeatpulseLabs addresses this issue by transforming raw multimedia content into structured, production-ready training data. The company offers integrated services for dataset preparation and provision, ensuring data is cleaned, labeled, and enriched by domain specialists. This process helps AI systems understand nuanced context, moving beyond simple pattern recognition to achieve greater accuracy.

A Founder-Led Vision

The company was founded by Jason Rieff and Nikolay Vitanov, who brought complementary expertise from the media and investment banking sectors. Rieff experienced the issue of unfit datasets firsthand in content monetization, while Vitanov observed the data bottleneck among his tech clients at Citigroup. Their combined insights shaped the company's mission to build a foundational data infrastructure layer for enterprise AI.

After meeting in Cape Town in 2024, the founders quickly validated their business model, securing their first paying customer within ninety days. BeatpulseLabs has been profitable since its inception, a testament to the strong market demand for its specialized services. This financial health underscores that the funding is a strategic catalyst for scaling an already successful operation.

Strategic Investment for Future Growth

Investors have expressed strong confidence in the company's direction and leadership. Mitul Ruparelia of Araya Ventures noted that BeatpulseLabs is tackling a fundamental bottleneck by embedding high-fidelity human judgment into AI models. This sentiment was echoed by fellow co-lead Rupa Popat, who praised the founders' remarkable progress in a short time.

The new capital will be instrumental in fueling the company's next phase of expansion. BeatpulseLabs plans to use the funds to scale its dataset infrastructure and broaden its enterprise AI applications. The investment will also enhance its expert-driven data labeling and validation systems for complex multimodal training data.

This $1.8 million pre-seed funding round positions BeatpulseLabs to capitalize on the growing enterprise need for specialized AI training data. As AI systems become more sophisticated, the demand for datasets that encode human context and expertise will only intensify. With fresh capital and proven market traction, the company is poised to become a critical provider in the evolving AI landscape.
